She worked at VDL Nedcar for seven years before moving to VDL Konings. Later, she heard about the opportunities at VDL MIC through former colleagues. The role immediately interested her, and after speaking with people who were already working here, she decided to apply. Thankfully, she was given the opportunity to join the team.
I work as an Assembly Operator. In addition, I take on extra responsibilities whenever the Team Leader is absent. This means helping to keep operations running smoothly and supporting my colleagues on the shop floor.
I enjoy the fact that the work is unique and different from many other assembly roles. Building battery systems is something you do not see every day. What I find especially interesting is being able to follow the entire production process from beginning to end. Usually, people only see the final product, but here you can see everything that happens behind the scenes to make it possible.
One of the biggest challenges is meeting production targets while maintaining the highest quality standards. Because the processes are still relatively new, good communication and teamwork are essential. I enjoy contributing ideas and helping to improve the process wherever possible.
I have always had positive experiences within VDL. The working atmosphere is great, but what really makes the difference are the people. There is a genuine sense of teamwork and support, which creates a family-like environment where everyone works together toward the same goals.
